Description:
The fortress is located in the historical center, near the 26 May Square. It has the classical form of a rectangle with sides of 800 and 900 m. There are round towers in the corners, and semicircular towers in the center of the western and northern walls, and entrance gates are arranged on the northern side. In general, a typical building for its time, reminiscent of castles in Mukhrani or Tsurtavi. True, unlike them, the Kvareli fortress was surrounded by a moat around the entire perimeter.

По углам находятся круглые, а в центре западной и северной стен — полукруглые башни, с северной стороны устроены въездные ворота. В общем-то типовая постройка для своего времени, напоминающая замки в Мухрани или Цуртави. Правда, в отличие от них, Кварельскую крепость по всему периметру окружал ров.
