Description:
A Romanesque stone bridge located in the parish of Andorra la Vella, on the road leading to Sant Julià de Lòria. It was built in the 12th century and is the largest and best preserved of its kind in Andorra.
La Margineda is a 33-metre-long arch spanning the country’s main river, the Valira. The bridge is 9.2 metres high and 7.8 metres wide on one side and 5.3 metres wide on the other. At its narrowest point, the bridge is only 2.5 metres wide.
The bridge is paved with cobblestones, the same as the entire road it connects. The same cobblestone railings surround the stone bridge.
