The Ladoga Skerries National Park is located on the territories of the Lakhdenpokhsky, Sortavala and Pitkyaranta regions of the Republic of Karelia. The territory of the park includes the coastal strip of Lake Ladoga with numerous bays, straits and islands, among which there are 302 large ones (with an area from 100 m² to 15 km²) — the skerry part of the coast and the adjacent water area.
The total area of the national park is 122,008.3 hectares, of which 52,854.3 hectares are occupied by water surface. Thus, land makes up about 56% of the park’s area, water area – 44%
