Loch Ness is a large, deep, fresh­wa­ter loch, or lake, in the Scot­tish High­lands. This loch is famous for sight­ings of its tit­u­lar Loch Ness Mon­ster, a myth­i­cal ser­pent-like crea­ture nick­named Nessie.
