Description:
The square is home to hundreds of giant Russian nesting dolls. There are nesting dolls with the faces of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin and Nelson Mandela. A particularly large red and yellow nesting doll in the center of the square is almost 30 meters tall and is actually a hotel. The square also features other quirky buildings painted in bright colors reminiscent of famous Russian landmarks, and a Russian circus. In Manchuria, which is considered a crossroads of Chinese, Mongolian, and Russian cultures, the border with Russia is only a 15-minute drive from the city center.
