Part sculp­ture, part foun­tain, part per­for­mance art, Metal­mor­pho­sis is the work of Czech sculp­tor David Černý. It’s 7.6m tall, weighs 14 tons, and con­sists of over two dozen stain­less steel plates that rotate inde­pen­dent­ly and peri­od­i­cal­ly line up to form a mas­sive human head. A raised pool sur­rounds the sculp­ture, and when the plates align, water pours out of the head’s mouth.
