Description:
Summer on the lake is short and windy, with average air temperatures no higher than 6–10 degrees Celsius. Winter is harsh, with polar nights with icy winds, and temperatures down to minus 25–30 degrees. Ice on the lake lasts from mid-September to the end of June, and longer in cold years. The banks of the reservoir are mostly flat, low-lying, overgrown with lichens and shrubs, and there are areas with open forests. There are hunting huts on the northern shore. Hunting on Lake Mogotoevo is carried out for waterfowl, reindeer, polar wolf and hare.
