Description:
The mausoleum is different from many other Azerbaijani mausoleums. It is designed in the form of an octagonal tower, the height of which is 25 meters. Initially, the structure was 9 meters higher, but the previously existing dome did not survive to our times, which is why the mausoleum was noticeably “trampled down.” Momine is the name of the mother of the Azerbaijani ruler Jahan Pahlavan, who died at the end of the 12th century. It was then that the loving son ordered the construction of the mausoleum from the then famous architect Adjemi ibn Abubekr Nakhchivan. The tower was once part of a large complex.
