The monastery is locat­ed above a deep canyon of a moun­tain riv­er, attract­ing with its secrets, leg­ends and spe­cial charm. It is dif­fi­cult to see it from the road, the monastery seems to be hid­den in the thick of green­ery, in the moun­tains. Today Mot­sameta is a beau­ti­ful monastery sur­round­ed by bright green­ery. The tem­ple build­ing is dec­o­rat­ed with round tur­rets on which point­ed domes rise. The reli­quary (ark) with the relics of the holy princes is locat­ed in the main tem­ple. A low pas­sage was made under the shrine. They say that you need to walk around the ark through this pas­sage three times, then ill­ness­es will be cured and your cher­ished desires will come true. In 2010, a major restora­tion of the monastery was car­ried out — a good road to the tem­ple was laid, the walls were repaired. The sur­round­ing area has also been improved, so the area around the monastery is now cozy and well-groomed. More­over, in 2019, the ter­ri­to­ry adja­cent to the monastery was once again devel­oped, the park­ing lot was increased, walk­ing paths were installed around the monastery, and the fence and obser­va­tion deck were strength­ened. On the ter­ri­to­ry of the monastery there is an obser­va­tion deck with a pic­turesque view of the gorge, a bell tow­er and a drink­ing foun­tain. On Octo­ber 15, the tem­ple cel­e­brates the feast of Mot­same­to­ba — the day of remem­brance of the holy mar­tyrs David and Con­stan­tine. On this day, Ortho­dox peo­ple from all over Geor­gia come to the monastery.
