The Negros Muse­um’s build­ing used to be where the old Provin­cial Gov­ern­ment used to oper­ate, this muse­um pro­vides a tour of the His­to­ry of the province of Negros Occi­den­tal from its hum­ble begin­nings to the colo­nial oppres­sion, rise of the sug­ar indus­try, cul­tur­al influ­ences brought by for­eign­ers, the rev­o­lu­tion, past gov­er­nors and murals done by Negrense Artists. The muse­um not alone stands as an image of his­tor­i­cal study but as well as a hub for Fil­ipino artists who hold their exhibits in the muse­um’s cafe.
