One of the most impor­tant archae­o­log­i­cal sites in the coun­try (an exam­ple of a Roman for­ti­fi­ca­tion from the 4th cen­tu­ry, well pre­served). Near the fortress there is a spring with sul­fur water in Nokalake­vi (sign­post “Betle­mi”, 3.5 km from the fortress). It is not like oth­er ther­mal pools: water bursts out from a high bank and flows down to the Tekhuri Riv­er. You will rec­og­nize the place by the huge white lime­stone. Under it, vaca­tion­ers bask in the steam of hot water, and then go to lie in shal­low home­made stone baths (sim­i­lar to pud­dles). The clos­er the bath is to the source, the hot­ter the water. The most com­fort­able water tem­per­a­ture is near the riv­er.
