Description:
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the mysterious assassination of Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme. The politician did not use the services of bodyguards and often walked the streets of the city unaccompanied.
Also – without any accompaniment – on February 28, 1986, Palme, along with his wife Lisbeth, was walking home from the Grand Cinema, where they watched the film “The Mozart Brothers”. When they reached the junction of Sveawagen and Tunnelgatan, a man approached them and fired at Palma, causing the prime minister to die on the spot. Despite the unprecedented measures taken, this incredibly high-profile murder for Sweden still remains unsolved. By the way, the cinema Palme was returning from still exists, and opposite it there are many shops and restaurants overlooking the fatal crossroads.
