The park has about thir­ty mytho­log­i­cal­ly inspired sculp­tures and fan­tas­tic build­ings cov­ered with moss: an ele­phant devour­ing a man, a three-head­­ed mon­ster, a drag­on dog, the gates of the under­world and oth­ers. All these are the fruits of the imag­i­na­tion of Pier Francesco Orsi­ni, who so decid­ed to per­pet­u­ate the mem­o­ry of his trag­i­cal­ly deceased wife. The Orsi­ni heirs did not take care of the park, and it acquired an omi­nous appear­ance. There were rumors that evil spir­its roamed there. But despite this, the park became a source of inspi­ra­tion for Sal­vador Dali, Manuel Muji­ca Lines and oth­er cre­ators.
