Locat­ed in the north­west part of the Rila Moun­tains, Sev­en Rila Lakes is a nat­ur­al area of stun­ning beau­ty. Hik­ing to the lakes uncov­ers epic scenic views of the rugged moun­tain­tops. The Sev­en Rila Lakes is a group of glac­i­er lakes, and the locals have giv­en them names inspired most­ly by their form: The Eye, The Kid­ney, The Tear, The Twin, The Tre­foil, Fish Lake, and The Low­er Lake. The lakes are locat­ed in Rila Nation­al Park, Bulgaria’s largest nation­al park.
