We are talking about the former residence of the Sheki khans, built in the city of Sheki at the end of the 18th century. Despite its rather modest size by Khan standards (2 floors, 300 m²), the palace is not without sophistication, reflected primarily in the facades. They are almost completely covered with patterns and painted with drawings depicting scenes of hunting, war and everyday life. A special decoration of the palace of the Sheki khans are stained glass windows made of multi-colored glass mosaics. It is a generally accepted fact that the Sheki Palace is one of the most beautiful in the Caucasus, and therefore a visit to it is a must for all fans of ancient oriental architecture.
