Instead of try­ing to find this Art Deco-style build­ing on foot, it is actu­al­ly best seen from the Chao Phraya Express Boat. It is the first com­mer­cial bank of Thai­land run by Thais. It was designed by the Ital­ian archi­tect Anni­bale Rig­ot­ti and com­plet­ed in 1904 in typ­i­cal 19th cen­tu­ry Euro­pean style. Each gable is unique with del­i­cate pat­terns of stuc­co.
