A silo-converted self-catering apartment complex in Little River on Banks Peninsula.
Description:
Eight two-storey cylindrical silos (4.2 m Ø × 8.7 m) feature a kitchenette, lounge area and bathroom downstairs, with an upper-level bedroom under a circular stargazing hatch. Heating and hot water come from a central wood-pellet boiler in a dedicated energy silo, while wastewater is treated via a Biolytix worm pod. Industrial-chic interiors use sheep-wool insulation and LED lighting, plus a mini-library with DVD/MP3 facilities.
