Description:
A unique monument of history and technology, built in 1886 in Tyumen by order of the famous Siberian industrialist Alexander Mikhailovich Sibiryakov. The cargo-passenger tugboat “St. Nikolay” was famous for its speed and comfortable passenger compartments at the end of the 19th century. The steamship had a capacity of 140 horsepower and could take on board 150–200 passengers. It was on it that Tsarevich Nikolai Alexandrovich Romanov, the future last Emperor of Russia Nicholas II, made a short trip on July 1, 1891, returning from a trip to the East. On April 30, 1897, V.I. Lenin and his associates G.M. Krzhizhanovsky, V.V. Starkov went on this steamship to Minusinsk, heading to the place of exile.
