Description:
The structures of the historical bazaar in Tabriz, which well reflects the traditional commercial and cultural system of Iran, are located in the province of East Azerbaijan in northwestern Iran.
The bazaar in Tabriz was commercially one of the most important centers, particularly when Tabriz became the capital of Iran during the reign of the Safavid monarchs in the 13th century. It remained prosperous until the end of the 18th century, with the expansion of Ottoman power.
