An Ortho­dox Greek monastery locat­ed on the moun­tain of the same name, at an alti­tude of 350 meters, on the site where, accord­ing to tra­di­tion, Jesus retired for forty days of fast­ing and med­i­ta­tion. It can be reached by cable car and offers a beau­ti­ful view of the city of Jeri­cho and the Jor­dan Val­ley.
