The extraordinary VANOISE EXPRESS cable car is a unique technical feat. It is on this day that the largest cable car in the world: 2 cabins of the 2nd level can take 200 people. (Capacity: 2000 people per hour and by destinations).
To be more precise, we are talking about 2 parallel and independent cable cars, which allow you to flexibly manage passenger traffic.
Another feat: the cable car crosses the valley without an intermediate support. (1824m length, 64m bumps only. The cabin is 380m above the ground at its highest point).
The third feat: his speed: 45 km / h, a world record. The transition can be completed in 3 minutes 50 seconds.
The departure station, called the “car station”, is located in Plan Peisy, in the municipality of Peisy-Nancroix, at an altitude of 1612 m above sea level.
The arrival station, called the “station of tension”, is located at an altitude of 1548 m above sea level upstream to Montchavin, municipality of Bellantre.
