A mermaid who is the heroine of a popular local legend. It tells the story of the daughter of the sea king Triton, who fell in love with a simple fisherman. The father was not happy with such a match for his daughter, so he killed the young man, which was a great blow to the mermaid. Day and night she cried until her tears turned into amber stones – the same ones that the first settlers found on the shores of the Baltic Sea.
