Description:

The famous Bard, Britain’s most loved poet and playwright, is entombed in his hometown of Stratford-upon-Avon. Stratford is awash with Shakespeare-themed shops, restaurants and museums, and you can easily visit both his birthplace and final resting place in the same day. The words on his gravestone are almost too worn away to read, but a modern sign tells you what they said: “Good friend, for Jesus’ sake forbeare, To dig the dust enclosed here; Blessed be the man that spares these stones, And cursed be he that moves my bones.”
