A small lime­stone hill that is famous for its nat­ur­al eter­nal fire. The local fire spring is about 10 meters wide and con­tin­ues to burn since time immemo­r­i­al. One of the first men­tions of the Yanardag fire is found in the notes of the Venet­ian trav­el­er Mar­co Polo, who lived more than sev­en cen­turies ago.
