Description:
A small hill to the east of the castle is known as Mount Mindovga. It is believed that the coronation of the first Lithuanian ruler took place here. Since then, the mountain has been mentioned more than once in legends and the works of Adam Mickiewicz, although there was and is nothing interesting on it — with the exception of a small memorial plaque installed in modern times.
