Один из рабочих кварталов Балахны находится на южной окраине города. Здесь обращают на себя внимание трёхэтажные конструктивистские дома (ул. ЦКК, 1 и 2) и окружающие их деревянные бараки, для Балахны весьма характерные. Картонная фабрика существует до сих пор и тянется вдоль Волги ниже города. На берегу воинский мемориал.
