Пещера с археологическими находками древнего человека.
Description:
The cave is interesting for its archaeological finds. During the excavations of the cave, more than 20 cultural layers of different eras were discovered, more than 80,000 exhibits were collected, including various tools, weapons, jewelry, and remains of animals and plants. In 2008, another interesting exhibit was found here — a phalanx of the little finger of a girl who lived about 30–75 thousand years ago. DNA analysis led to the discovery of another species of people, different from Neanderthals and modern people, and called the Denisovan man. At present, archaeologists continue to work in the cave. Excursions are held.
The Altai cave was known in the 19th century, but studies began only in 1977. Over the years of research, archaeologists have discovered so many artifacts valuable to science underground that the Denisova Cave is compared to the Egyptian pyramids. Household items, tools, decorations, primitive weapons, decorations and animal bones are now stored in various museums in Siberia. In 2008, researchers found the remains of a man who lived in a cave 50 thousand years ago, isolated DNA and revolutionized anthropology. It turned out that the ancient people in Altai differed in genome from Neanderthals and modern humans. Thus, based on the name of the cave, a new term appeared in archeology — “Denisov man” or “Denisovian”.
