Unlike the stereo­typ­i­cal Dan­ish ”kro”, the vibe here is unre­lent­ing­ly mod­ern. But don’t be deceived: this place can go toe to toe with the com­pe­ti­tion in terms of his­to­ry, estab­lished by roy­al decree no lat­er than 1855 hotels. Sabro is a rather large ”kro”, with close to sev­en­ty dou­ble rooms, sev­er­al suites with spa and oth­er lux­u­ry facil­i­ties, and room to accom­mo­date con­fer­ences, events, and even con­certs. There’s fine food at the restau­rant (includ­ing week­end brunch), and the own­ers’ efforts to oper­ate the place in an envi­ron­men­tal­ly con­scious way have earned Sabro Kro the inter­na­tion­al Green Key cer­tifi­cate as well as a sil­ver cer­tifi­cate as a Tri­pAd­vi­sor Green­Leader.
