Description:
The Greek lighthouse has become famous all over the world due to its unusual location: the tower rises on a small rock 300 meters from the east coast of Andros island. A stone staircase carved into the rock rises to the entrance to the building. It is noteworthy that the 36-meter building was completely destroyed during the Second World War, but thanks to the shipowner Alexander Gulendris, it was restored to its original form. He dedicated the lighthouse to his dead daughter Violante.
