Description:
It is located on the right high bank, at the confluence of the Volga and Oka rivers. The northwestern part of the Kremlin descends almost to the foot of the slopes, the southeastern part overlooks Minin and Pozharsky Square, and the southwestern part rises above the deep Pochainsky ravine and National Unity Square. The only Kremlin that can be walked around in a combat circle.
