The palace was erected during the reign of Abbas II (1632-1667) as a residence for recreation. The splendor of the decoration of the reception hall was noted by the contemporary of Shah Abbas, the French traveler Jean-Baptiste Tavernier. After all, in addition to stucco and luxurious ornaments, the hall is decorated with real gold. Despite the fire of 1707, this decoration has survived to this day.
