The Postal Museum was established upon the completion of the building, in 1931. Initially, the collection mainly consisted of postal stamps from the Dutch East Indies. Nowadays, it is a complete museum, covering Indonesia’s postal history from the beginning of colonial times in the 17th century, until the present. An audio tour guide is available in Indonesian and English.
