A grandiose monument dedicated to the Civil War in USSR. The bronze sculpture depicts an authentic cart-mounted Maxim gun drawn by a horse, flanked by two Red Army soldiers in greatcoats. The monument stands on a granite pedestal, decorated with reliefs illustrating the 1918–1920 battles. The monument stands on a large mound. The earth for this mound was brought from the sites of Civil War battles from all over the Soviet Union.
