The new life of Ulvesund lighthouse began in 2003, when the old buildings were opened to the public, as a creative lighthouse cafe with the option of overnight accommodation. Ulvesund lighthouse has been a point of light in all kinds of weather since 1870, in storm and calm. From 1985 there were no more lighthouse keepers here, when the lighthouse was unmanned and automated, and the new lantern in the spring was built. Ulvesund fyr loves to have happy guests of all ages, and has the vision to bring light into everyday life, both to those who visit us and to the local community. We have extra heart for children and young people, and want to inspire good conversations, activity, creativity and joy of life. The history of the lighthouse inspires simplicity and warmth, and guests say it is homely and pleasant here.
